Battery Meter

As we do a lot of dry camping, it is important that we keep a close eye on the state of the batteries.  I looked at several meters from simple Green - Yellow - Red  LEDs to fancy computers with shunts to allow monitoring amperage usage.

I settled on a more price conscious meter which allows us to camp with confidence that we will not run out of power.

	I started with an inexpensive multimeter that I had in the bottom of my toolbox.  I think I originally paid $9.00 for it
	I added a 1/4" phone jack (mono).  While you can get these at radio Shack, they are cheaper form some mail order companies like All Electronics.
	I just plug it in and turn it on.  It can be plugged into any of the lights on my Santa Fe.
	Here it is plugged into the outside light.
